Transitioning to Middle School
To assist all incoming fifth graders with "need to know scheduling information" as well as Grizzell-specific details for transitioning to Middle School, we have created this Grizzell 5th to 6th grade webpage.
Please take time as a family to review the information provided on events, how to schedule your classes, and how to select a music class. We are so excited to have you join our school this fall as a Celt! Welcome to Grizzell!
We invite parents and students to join us on August 12th, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm for 6th Grade Orientation! Hope to see you all there!

Music Fittings for Rising 6th Grade
Band: Students interested in participating in the band should attend an instrument fitting on one of the following dates.
Tuesday, Feb. 3 - Coffman High School, 4:00 - 7:00 pm (MS Band Fittings)
Wednesday, Feb. 4 - Davis Middle School, 4:00 - 7:00 pm (MS Band Fittings)
Saturday, Feb. 7 - Sells Middle School, 12:00 - 4:00 pm (MS Band Fittings)
Monday, Feb. 9 - Scioto High School, 4:00 - 7:00 pm (MS Band Fittings)

Orchestra:
Students interested in participating in orchestra should attend the instrument fitting on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Davis Middle School from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. Orchestra fittings are open house style, and sign-up is not necessary.
Choir: Voice placement and auditions are not required--just sign up on your course selection sheet!
